Privacy Policy for Note Trainer

Note Trainer is operated by MattJProductions ("we", "us", or "our").

1. Information We Collect

Note Trainer does not require you to create an account.

We do not directly ask you to provide personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, or precise location in order to use the app.

The app may store certain information locally on your device so it can function properly, including:

- practice settings and preferences
- lesson progress
- scores, streaks, and stats
- purchase unlock status

On supported devices, Note Trainer may access device motion data to support gameplay or visual interaction. This motion data is processed on-device and is not stored on our servers by us.

We also use third-party SDK services, including Meta (Facebook) technologies, which may collect certain app event and device-related information such as:

- app activity and interaction events
- purchase and subscription event data
- device identifiers and similar identifiers
- diagnostic and crash-related information

This information may be collected automatically by the SDKs we use, subject to platform permissions and device settings where applicable.

2. In-App Purchases

Note Trainer offers optional in-app purchases, including auto-renewable subscriptions and a one-time lifetime unlock.

All payments and billing are handled by Apple, not by us. We do not receive your full payment card or billing details.

We may receive limited purchase-related information from Apple, such as whether a subscription or purchase is active, so the app can unlock paid features and restore purchases.

We may also log successful purchase events through third-party measurement and analytics tools, including Meta, to help us understand conversions, app performance, and marketing effectiveness.

3. How We Use Information

We use information stored by the app to:

- save your settings and preferences
- remember lesson completion and progress
- store your practice history and stats
- unlock paid features after purchase or restore

We and our third-party service providers may use collected data to:

- operate and improve the app
- measure app performance and stability
- understand feature usage
- measure purchase events and subscription conversions
- support advertising attribution and campaign performance measurement

4. Tracking and Third-Party Services

Note Trainer uses third-party SDKs and services, including Meta (Facebook), for analytics, event measurement, and advertising attribution.

Depending on your device, region, and app configuration, these services may use data collected from the app to help measure advertising performance or support tracking as defined by Apple. Where required by Apple, permission may be requested before tracking is allowed.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information.

We do not rent your personal information.

We may share limited data with third-party service providers that help us operate, measure, and improve the app, including:

- Apple, for in-app purchases, subscription management, and purchase restoration
- Meta (Facebook), for analytics, app event measurement, conversion measurement, and advertising attribution

These third parties process data under their own terms and privacy policies.

6. Data Storage and Retention

Most app data such as preferences, progress, and stats is stored locally on your device.

That data remains on your device until you delete the app, reset it through in-app options, or remove it through your device settings.

If you use Apple device backup services, app data stored on your device may be included in backups according to Apple’s own terms and policies.

Data collected by third-party providers such as Apple or Meta is subject to those providers’ own retention practices and privacy policies.

7. Children's Privacy

Note Trainer does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.

If third-party SDKs collect device or app event data automatically, that collection is governed by the applicable platform permissions, device settings, and the privacy practices of those third parties.

8. Your Choices

You can stop using the app at any time.

You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID subscription settings.

You can remove locally stored app data by deleting the app or using available reset options inside the app.

Where applicable, you can manage app tracking permissions in your device settings.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will post the updated version on this page and update the effective date above.
